On July 3, Professor Amalia Di Iorio, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Educational Partnerships at La Trobe University, Australia, along with Ms. Carol Ba, Senior Manager of Educational Partnerships, visited the School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA) at Chongqing University. The delegation met with Professor Gao Xiang, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs at Chongqing University; Professor Liu Xin, Vice Dean of SEBA; Professor Cheng Ying, Director of the IMBA Program; and Associate Professor Wu Minghua from the School of Journalism and Communication. The parties engaged in substantive discussions regarding the short-term study program for La Trobe Business School students at Chongqing University.

The La Trobe representatives highly commended Chongqing's strategic positioning and vigorous development within the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle in recent years. They presented a proposal for the 2025 China Cultural & Language Immersion Program, scheduled for the second half of 2025. The program is designed to provide La Trobe students with invaluable opportunities to explore Chongqing's economic development, corporate culture, business environment, and innovative technologies through a comprehensive curriculum encompassing language learning, specialized lectures and workshops, cultural exchanges, and corporate visits.

Additionally, Professor Di Iorio highlighted the research strengths of La Trobe Business School in sustainable finance, digital marketing, and related fields. She proposed various collaborative initiatives, including faculty exchange programs, cross-border academic research partnerships, and dual-degree programs for students, expressing hope to explore further possibilities for development and jointly advance internationalization strategies.
This dialogue marks a new phase of development in the partnership between SEBA and La Trobe University. The School will seize this opportunity to continuously deepen international exchanges and cooperation, broaden its global perspective, promote high-quality development, and strive to become a nationally top-tier and internationally renowned school of economics and business administration.
