Welcome to the School of Economics and Business Administration at Chongqing University (SEBA), an institution born in the crucible year of 1937. The prominent economist and patriotic educator, Professor Ma Yinchu, served as our first full-time dean. Responding to the call of “revitalizing the nation, vowing to be at the forefront”, SEBA charted its course through the flames of war and the construction of New China. In the reform and opening-up era, the school underwent reconstruction, ascended to new heights, and is now accelerating towards the ambitious goal of becoming a globally renowned, top-tier business school in China.
The mission of SEBA is to “create new knowledge in management and cultivate outstanding talents”. In our perspective, new knowledge refers to novel intellectual contributions addressing significant issues pertinent to business practice, societal needs, as well as the wellbeing of human civilization at large, particularly in the current wave of technological revolution and industrial transformation. Outstanding talents are supposed to be exceptional change-makers and leaders in business, academia, and world affairs, possessing global vision and profound commitment to community welfare. We aspire to engage in globally recognized research and nurture talents with the capacity to reshape the world.
Committed to the principles of excellence and inclusivity, we adhere to international academic standards while integrating ourselves with local practices. Embracing the philosophy that "all rivers run into the sea," we respect the academic ideals of each faculty member and champion the diverse pursuits of every student.
SEBA is a home for intellectual exploration and a launchpad for future endeavors. Nestled in the vibrant cosmopolitan city of Chongqing, we extend a warm invitation to talents from around the world to join us in steering towards a brighter future together.
Sincerely,
He HUANG
