SEBA is proud to announce that Prof. YAO Shujie has been named as “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers of 2020” by Elsevier, a globally leading academic publication group, according to a list recently released on April 22nd.
Elsevier has been releasing the “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” annually since 2015, as a way to recognize and showcase scholars in China who facilitate insights and critical thinking across the global research arena.
Prof. YAO Shujie, Vice Dean of Social Sciences Faculty of Chongqing University / Professor in Economics of SEBA, Chongqing University / Chief Expert of the Office of Leading Expert in Chongqing Municipal Government. His research interests include Economic Growth, Income Distribution and Poverty. He has been a teaching and research fellow at University of Oxford, University of Portsmouth, University of Middlesex and University of Nottingham. He has served as the founding Head of School of Contemporary Chinese Studies, Program Director of China and World Economy Leverhulme Centre GEP, School of Economics, Director of Nottingham Confucius Institute, University of Nottingham (2007-2014).
